Do you qualify for a Gable Stability Grant?

To be eligible for assistance in 2026, you must meet the following criteria:

  • [ ] Geography: You live in SW Atlanta, the Westside, Dekalb County (GA), or Dorchester, Roxbury, or Mattapan (MA).

  • [ ] The "Gap" Profile: You have a verifiable source of income (employment, disability, or pension) but have experienced a one-time emergency (medical bill, car repair, sudden rent/tax hike).

  • [ ] Future Stability: You have a plan or the means to cover your housing costs after this one-time bridge is provided.

  • [ ] Documentation: You can provide a copy of your lease (or proof of homeownership) and an eviction notice, utility shut-off, or proof of the financial emergency.

Note: Gate and Gable does not provide long-term rental subsidies or immediate emergency shelter. If you are currently homeless, please dial 2-1-1 immediately for local emergency services.

  1. Meet Your Navigator: If eligible, a Gatekeeper will contact you within 24 hours for a brief interview.

  2. The Decision: We aim to provide a funding decision within 72 hours of receiving all your documentation.

  3. Foundation First: Approved residents participate in a 1-hour resilience coaching session to help prevent future crises.
